Have you ever imagined being in a place that seems to belong to another planet? I had that opportunity in Indonesia, when I visited the incredible volcanic crater of Ijen.

In this video, I'll share fascinating details about this surreal experience.

The Encounter with the Blue Fire Crater and Acid Lake

Located in East Java, the Ijen Crater is one of the most amazing and dangerous places in the world.

It takes two hours of hiking to reach the top of the crater, followed by another half hour to descend to the bottom. It is vital to wear a protective mask, as the amount of toxic gas released by the blue fire is immense.

The Wonder of Blue Fire and the Threat of Toxic Gas

Upon reaching the bottom of the crater, we are greeted by a truly supernatural spectacle. The blue fire, visible in only two places in the world, is an almost unbelievable sight.

However, despite its wonder, it also brings with it an element of fear. The yellow gas emanating from the bottom of the crater is extremely toxic, making it impossible to stay there for long, even with a protective mask.

Sunrise: An Unforgettable Experience

Upon returning to the top, I was treated to a second spectacle: the sunrise inside the volcanic crater, overlooking one of the most acidic lakes in the world.

This scene is difficult to describe in words; the beauty of the sun emerging from the volcanic smoke is something that will remain etched in my memory forever.

A Unique and Impressive Journey

My visit to the Ijen Crater was more than an adventure; it was a journey into the heart of nature, where beauty and danger coexist in perfect harmony.

This unique experience reminded me of the importance of preserving such special places as this, so that future generations can also witness the majesty of the Earth.
